I have known Steve Musique from Ausmo Construction for approximately five and a half years now since first asking Steve to tend to some maintenance issues at Wyndham City Salvation Army where I was working at the time as The Salvation Army Corps Officer. After meeting Steve, seeing the quality of his work and the way he interacted with people, I asked Steve if he would be willing to act as a supervisor for people who were unemployed and needing to engage in various work for the Dole programs. Steve was excellent! Through these programs he taught people valuable skills, he was able to build rapport and motivate people, foster a great sense of team work and pride within the groups and individuals he worked with, and helped them to achieve some exceptional outcomes. Some of these projects included the rebuilding of a large wooden hexagon shaped gazebo. Community garden planter boxes, decking for a shower block, and a magnificent children's sensory playground. Through these programs Steve has demonstrated a whole range of personal and technical skills as he has patiently worked along side people, leading and teaching them the necessary skills to produce such wonderful outcomes.
Steve is an intelligent and motivated individual with high personal integrity and values. He is highly capable in managing projects and people to achieve their full potential and enhancing and developing new skills to achieve both the final goals of the projects and the personal development of people.
